Cindy Microsoft's Office 2000 comes with an e-mail program called Outlook 2000. My fifth graders used Outlook to send messages to the class in Spain and to read the replies they got back. The Spanish kids wrote terrific replies! Some of them even included hyperlinks to their favorite web sites.

Cindy That's lovely, Mr. Millennium. But Outlook 2000 also makes it easy to view those web sites. All you have to do is click the hyperlink in the message, and Outlook's View the Web feature automatically displays the web page in the View pane. My kids saved a lot of time because they didn't have to toggle back and forth between the e-mail application and their web browser.
