Is the Content Advisor popping-up far too often? Tired of running back and forth to enter your password every time one appears? You can tell IE4 to back off.

Unless you tell IE4 otherwise, it will show you the Content Advisor every time you visit a site without a rating. To turn OFF this feature:

  1. In the Content tab, click the Settings... button.

  2. Enter your password and click the OK button.

  3. When the Content Advisor opens, click the General tab.

  4. Check the box next to Users can see sites that have no rating.

  5. Click the OK button.

It's a good idea to check this box since most sites are not rated.

To turn OFF the Content Advisor altogether:

  1. Select View, then Internet Options from the menu bar.

  2. When the Options window appears, click the Content tab.

  3. Click the Disable... button.

  4. Enter your password.

  5. Click the OK button.

A password is required to disable the Content Advisor.
